This project consisted of two distinct elements - one was to conduct research and establish a specific role that was aligned to career interests and aspirations - the second was a placement to gain experience and knowledge of the industry.
My chosen role was PR and Communications and my objective was to establish its function, identify key skills and explore potential opportunities. This required extensive primary research and the production of a comprehensive report. My industry placement was Production Coordinator for NIL, a magazine dedicated to the fashion students at Arts University Bournemouth, which entailed: creating mood boards and conducting photo shoots; interviewing alumni students; assisting with model casting; and managing the guest list and entry for Graduate Fashion Week.
